Ok, so ↑that photo↑ definitely falls under the "SUCKY STRAIT OUT OF CAMERA" category. I was just trying to get a quick shot of my daughter's little foot as she napped on the couch during a visit to my parents' today. I was finally able to paint her little toe nails for the first time earlier today and wanted to grab a photo so the memory would always stay alive. But, again, that shot just plain ol' stinks *lol*

Here's how I ended up editing it. I wanted it to look kinda 'oldish.' I like the little bit of noise that is in the photo. Sometimes grain is my friend :) Anyway. I think I'll edit it a little bit more before I print it. I love textures so I'll probably push the old feeling.

RIP Frank :(

Loved by us and in our home from Thursday-Sunday.
He went to that great hermit crab place in the sky earlier today.
So, another trip to Petland was needed.
Frank 2 was bought and a switch was successful.
Our son doesn't know the difference, but he likes that 'Frank' is now really active :)
Razzi is still doing really good.
We also have a Tweetie now as well.
My husband cleaned out his old aquarium and we moved them into their larger home.
We told our little boy that Frank likes having a lot of room to run and play now.

Opened the JPG in ACR to do a few minor adjustments:
-clarity
-white balance
-exposure
-blacks
-recovery

Opened in Photoshop CS3 to finish the editing:
-cropped to bring the focus of the photo on the little boy
-white/gray/black point color correct
-brightened eyes
-softened skin slightly
-small color pop on background & then blurred
-dodge/burn different areas of the photo
-did a little editing to give the whole photo a slightly different look than normal
-sharpened

That's what my 3.5 year old calls me when he's trying to get his point across.
